Tourist information
Puntaldìa is located on the east coast of the Gallura, just a few kilometers from Olbia, in Punta Sabatino and the San Teodoro territory. From the name alone, "Belvedere Point" in the local language, we get an idea of the uniqueness of its position. An oasis of lush green, it dominates the beaches, archipelagos and coves to the north, in the direction of Capo Coda Cavallo (or Horsetail Cape) as far as the Emerald Coast; but it is also and ideal starting point for exploring the northeastern coast to the south, from San Teodoro to the Gulf of Orosei. The interior is rich with important archeological sites, such as the nuraghic sanctuary of Cabu Abbas, the castle of Pedreso, and the "tombs of the giants" in the Arzachena territory, not to mention all of the beautiful natural parks.
The North Coast
Of the beaches just north of Puntaldìa harbours, the most famous are the twin beaches of Lu Impostu and Cala Brandinchi. Also to the north, Capo Coda Cavallo and Capo Ceraso provide a spectacular view of the islands of Tavolara and Molara. Cala Ginepro and Punta Molara are a couple of the enticing stops along Highway 125 to Olbia. Beyond Gulf Aranci and some of the most popular points of the Emerald Coast, Caprera and the archipelago Maddalena - which is also an important natural park (www.lamaddalena.it), decorate the horizon.

The South Coast
To the south, a slender strip of golden beach, La Cinta, extends for 8 km and connects Puntaldìa to San Teodoro. www.visitsanteodoro.com
Further south, the Baronie sea is full of surprises, from Cala Gonone to Cala Luna, to the Grotta del Bue marino (the cave of the monk seal) in the Gulf of Orosei.
Compared to the rest of the island, the northeastern coast of Sardinia offers the most spacious beaches of fine white sand, low granite coasts and chalky cliffs: a delicate, charming landscape.
